Pontin’s Netball Tournaments

Pontin’s holiday camps host extremely popular netball tournaments that are booked up quickly as they are open to everyone. They provide an ideal venue for literally hundreds of players from all levels. Netballpost.com have looked at two Pontin’s sites that have many outside courts and also provide a full range of holiday camp activities. Socially the camps are fantastic with activities on site to suit everyone: fancy dress themed nights, Karaoke, Blue Coat led games, DJ’s and live cabaret, sometimes even male strippers and live music.

Chalet-style accommodation can be basic but it is clean and very affordable. Each site offers a full day of netball on Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and a half-day on Sundays; each team is guaranteed a high number of games throughout the tournament. The Pontin’s netball tournaments are very popular so if you enjoy yourselves at one tournament – book for the next netball tournament before you leave.

Netballpost.com Bournemouth Netball Tournament Review

A fantastic tournament with teams at all levels entering from club standard through to new social teams. Play from Saturday is grouped into three bands for play on Sunday giving every team the opportunity to play at their level.

The tournament is held at the Sir David English Sports Centre (also known as the Bournemouth Netball Centre), where there are 2 indoor courts and 8 outside courts along with refreshment and changing facilities. The Sir David English Sports Centre has excellent facilities. It’s a well-organised tournament with team captains receiving the schedules for play a week in advance.

For the really keen netball teams there is an opportunity to enter a Twilight Tournament on the Friday night where prizes are awarded at the end of play that evening. It’s a great idea to warm up your team before the big event on Saturday and Sunday.

This is a very popular tournament so make sure you book well in advance. If you enjoyed yourself make sure you book a place for the following year as you leave.

Entrance to the tournament includes (if required) Bed & Breakfast accommodation.

Ideally the organisers will ask you to provide an umpire. For a reasonable price they will supply you with one for the weekend. Team umpires umpire the match before the teams scheduled match.

Salisbury & District Netball Association annual women's and mixed one day tournament.

Netballpost.com Salisbury & District annual Netball Tournament Review

A one-day outdoor tournament played at the Salisbury Netball Centre. Teams must supply their own umpire. Mixed teams need to have three men on court in each third at all times.

Review: A really fun one-day netball tournament. A mixture of teams play primarily from the local areas with a number of women’s and men’s teams from London.

There is a presentation on Saturday evening in a local pub in the centre of Salisbury and afterwards a great choice of bars and clubs to choose from.
